5 days Kidepo safari to the untouched wilderness of Kidepo Valley National Park. This remote park in the north of Uganda is something out of the ordinary and the only one in Uganda where you can see both zebras and giraffes in the same place. During this 5 days Kidepo Valley NP safari you’ll see animals of the savanna as well as meet the fascinating Karamojong people.

Day 1

Transfer to Gulu town.

Transfer to Gulu town.
You will be picked up by our safari guide in the morning who will brief you before heading out to Kitgum which is in the northern part of Uganda, start your Kidepo Valley National Park safari. Be prepared for a long day in the car, but with a lot to see as you enjoy the Ugandan landscape passing by the windows during this day of transfer

Day 2

Transfer to Kidepo valley conservation area.

Kitigum – Kabong (Kidepo valley National Park)
After breakfast, drive northwards proceeding to Kidepo valley National Park in a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooden hills, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa.
Over night: Apoka Hostel bandas

Day 3

Game Drive in the park

After an early breakfast, go for a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostriches. In the afternoon have a cultural experience that will bring into contact with Karamojong people at Karenna and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them.

Day 4

Transfer back to Gulu town

Travel through the remotest zones of Uganda, seeing the villages and thatched houses passing by the window. View the wild domestic and Cultural richness of this pearl of Africa, experience quality Vegetation Spend the night in the town of Gulu.
Overnight: Churchill Lodge.

Day 5

Transfer back to Kampala

You will leave Gulu, Uganda’s second biggest town, after breakfast. Along the way to Kampala take a light break at the Kabalega Restaurant for your Lunch break and continue through to the City. This marks the end of the experience.

Kaabong District
Kidepo Valley National park is located near Karenga in Kaabong District, in the northeastern corner of Uganda. The park is approximately 220 kilometres (140 mi), by road northwest of Moroto, the largest town in the sub-region.

Kidepo valley national park can also be accessed by public means of transport in that there are buses which travel day and night therefore you can board a bus from Kampala via Jinja, Mbale, Soroti, Moroto and Kotido town which take about 14 hours' drive and from Kotido you will hire a private vehicle to the park.

MFNP is Uganda's largest national park. It measures approximately 3,893 square kilometres (1,503 sq mi). The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile from east to west for a distance of about 115 kilometres (71 mi).
